  • Antología literaria celebra los 100 años de Violeta Parra en Londres, ‘Violeta anda en tierras extrañas’.

    Violeta walks on foreign lands, Violeta anda en tierras extrañas. Cuentos bilingues, de autores Latinoamericanos/hispanos, en Londres Victorina Press celebra el centenario de Violeta Parra con la publicación de una antología de cuentos escritos por autores latinoamericanos/hispanos residentes en el Reino Unido. Titulada ‘Violeta anda en Tierras extrañas’, esta primera edición bilingüe (castellano-inglés) se lanzará en la Embajada de Chile de Londres, el 5 de junio del 2018.     Senderos (Pathways) There are songs from many parts of South America, including Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina and of course, Chile. These encompass traditional folk songs about life on the cotton fields (el cosechero – the harvester), melancholy love songs which encapsulate the poverty of people’s lives and their dreams (los paraguas de Buenos Aires) and songs which celebrate the joy of dance and music. There are also political songs which stemmed from a continental surge of social change, revolution and repression.
